This pineapple rice drink known as “Pera piña” is an incredible and refreshing drink that comes from the Dominican Republic. It’s made by boiling pineapple skins and rice. This is a great way to make sure your pineapple skins don’t go to waste. When I cut my pineapple I always make sure to save the skin so I can make this drink. If I won’t be using the skins for the next couple days I make sure to freeze them for later use. If you’ve never tried Pera Piña I highly recommend you do!
